Gameweek 2 - midweek madness!

Following an eventful game week 1, throwing up some surprising results for the fantasy football manager, we take a look forward to game week 2, which starts today, Tuesday 18th, so make sure you don't miss the deadline to get your transfers in.
Midweek game weeks are short with some teams not playing due to cup games (champions league in this case).
The biggest result of the first weekend of games was Fabregas, back to his old ways of dominating a game and has found his scoring boots again. If he continues this form, which is highly possible, he will do very well this season in an Arsenal team out to prove a point. Drogba started well too, picking up 2 goals, one with a bit of luck. I'm very disappointed at Lampard but it was kind of what I expected, he will struggle at the start of the season in the new formation. He is currently in my team, but I might take him out for game week 3 if he cant get more involved against Sunderland tonight.

None of the new teams had players that shone, even though Birmingham as a unit were very good and as I predicted gave Manchester United a shock.
Goals were conceded by the top 6 teams last season with the exception of Manchester United, but this wont follow the season pattern once they have got into their stride.
I picked up a grand total of 48 points, disappointing.

Biggest in for game week 2: Rooney. Man United take on Burnly and goals would be expected.

Biggest out: Anyone from the teams that are not playing, make sure that you have 11 eligible players as players that don't play score 0 points.

Get before they get too expensive: The force from midfield! Every good team has a midfield dynamo that scores very well all season. Manchester United HAD Ronaldo, I'm not sure who will fill his boots yet this season. Chelsea have Lampard. Liverpool have Gerrard. Arsenal look like they have got Fabregas back to form playing so well with Arshavin and RVP. Manchester City have Ireland, Barry looks to be dropping deeper and I recon wont do as well this season. Everton have Cahill, with real points potential. Aston Villa have Young.
Any of these players will do well, some are more expensive than others, so pick the players that fit in your team price structure.

Good luck
